Is It Time To Withdraw From Afghanistan?

EACH ANSWER NEEDS TO BE AT LEAST 2-3 SENTENCES!

1.  Since the war in Afghanistan began in 2001 how many U.S Soldiers have been killed?  How many have been wounded?

2.  How much money is the war costing our country?  Can you think of how it would be better spent?

3.  What argument does the author make for why we should stay?

4.  Should we stay in Afghanistan or leave?  Why?

  1. -Yea I think it's time to with draw from Africa, because we are losing alot of people. There's no reason why we should be out here losing life for something another person did. but the hard thing is walking away because there not going to just let us walk away from it "Like oh okay we quiet" . So now we gotta fight in this war till Lord knows when. But if we get the opportunity to get some kind of agreement we should take it.!*

  2. Since the war in Afghanistan 1,700 American Soldiers have been killed leaving 13,000 American soldiers have been wounded...The war is costing our country a staggering $10 billion a month, at a time when drastic cuts to domestic spending are being proposed, No, I cannot think of any better way to spend this money, since our soldiers are over there, they need all the support and help they can use...The argument the author makes is that if we pull out right now, than our enemies will only get more numbers in their forces. only to come and do more damage to our country on our soil...I think we should stay..I think we should stay because if we pull out, off of their soil now, they will only try to hurt us later in the future..

  3. 1.since the war in Afghanistan there has been more then 1,700 deaths of Americans. There has been more then 13,000 American soldiers wounded.
    2. It is costing 10 billion a month, we could use that to start new businesses to create more jobs in America. We could also use the money just to save or pay off our debts to fix the economy.
    3. To help the Afghanistan government and to help protect them.
    4. We should leave, take all the soldiers not some or half. I believe it's ignorant to stay and fight them, we proclaim we fight for the people but their people are fighting us so there's no point in staying, even if we took out the Taliban we still wouldn't be helping the people. I believe instead of fighting we should be building school and hospitals and let them settle their own problems.

  4. since he war started in 2001 1,700 troops have been killed an 13,000 have been wounded.

the war is coating way more then what people beleave. at 10 billion dollers a mouth no wonder the states have no money.

the author says "stay" because its something we've started an if we pull back all the hard work would be lost.

i have mixed feelings about this because we did go over seas for a reason. maybe if we get done what was planed then we could go.but then again i think we need to pull back because of the money we're shipping out its hurting our country.and posing a future problem as well as the now.

  5. There were 1700 men killed and 13000 wounded.

It is costing our country 10 billion a month to keep the soldiers fight. I believe it would b better spent on schooling an health.

He argues the point that if we stay an fight the Taliban will soon give up an stop attacks.

I believe that we should leave Afghanistan because look how long this war has been and all the killed an wounded men we have if we were to bring troops home an hire more airport police to stop hijackings there would be an decrease in the attacks an the U.S would not be in a recession like we are.

  6. 1.since the war has started more than 1,700 American soldiers have been killed and over 13,000 have been injured. also, many more face a life time of mental health scars and post-traumatic stress.
2.the war is costing about 10 million a month to keep our soldiers there and the war going. that money could be used to help the homeless or even develop better machines to increase our security.
3.the author says that there is a risk of Taliban taking over Afghanistan and hurting the people in Afghanistan also they have ties with Al Qaeda.
4.we should stay but we should dismiss some soldiers and just keep a little to keep order in Afghanistan but also let soldiers come home.

3.that we can't afford the firefighters and offer more financial aid for college.
4.We should stay because what if they started a war which mean if we was not over there we got to flight all the way over there and they might already started the war

  10. 1.More then 1,700 American U.S soldiers have been killed and more then 13,000 have been wounded since the war in Afghanistan began in 2001. 2.War is costing up to 10 BILLION A MONTH! for our country now.. how could you not do better with money like that? we could be inherent money to schools, shelters, government debt itself to help the cause of the homeless/unemployed and welfared or simply help structure government for Afghanistan to help prevent war and peoples lifes. 3.The author states tat walking away from war will only conflict more in the end. 4.I believe as a country it is time to realize either way we are pining Americas National Security on a game of Russian roulette by not extending or arms out to be able to care for other countries.. war isn't solving the problem but only influencing more for the future.. 11. Since the war in Afghanistan began in 2001 more than 1,700 troops have been killed. 13,000 troops been wounded and will suffer with mental health scars or post-traumatic stress.
The war is costing our country 10 Billion dollars a month... the money there spending their could be spent on kids who are poor or paying firefighter's but we can't stop what were doing just yet because of money if we stop were going to have a lot more problems then just money....
The author's argument on why we should stay states that if we pull our troops out now as were in the middle of bringing Taliban's down it's going to cause more threats to america.Cause Afghanistan to retailer-ate, bringing back the Taliban.
No, our troops should not leave while were in the middle of a war it would be way to risky for the citizen in our Country. Leaving Afghanistan would cause way more problems for us then when the war stared. They would think were giving up and come over here and kill us all off with their BOMBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT LEAVE TILL THE WAR IS OVER......

  12. yes i think it is time to withdraw from Afghanistan because osamam bin laden is dead.So what more do you want that's the main reason why we went over there is to find him and to kill him.So maybe they should just withdraw and see what happens. There are so many families that are missing a member and the member are just sitting over there.Pulse we are spending so much money on them just sitting over there. We are risking more people to get hurt.

  13. 1.) Since the war in Afghanistan began in 2001 1,700 soldiers have been killed and 13,000 soldiers wounded.

2.) The war is costing the country $10 billion a month. I think the money should be spent on something that has to do with the U.S because the economy is already messed up and they just wasting money.

3.) It will increase the chances of terrist happening to our country.

4.) Leave because I don't see a point of being over there. They saying the the economy is all messed up but they are spending $10 billion a month on war.

  14. 1)since 2001 more than 1,700 Americans were killed and 13,000 more were wounded. Also more face a lifetime of mental-health scars and post-traumatic stress.

2)The war is costing us a staggering $10 billion a month. We are not even able to afford to pay firefighters for their job its so bad.

3)He makes the argument about what the war is doing to our budget and our economy. He is telling people that this all needs to stop for more than one reason.

4)no,because if we do we run to many risks of messing what we have up.we are in the water with things right now as it is.
& yes, because if we don't and just leave they might think its OK to come over here.so we should really just keep a few over there and bring the majority back.
