Iranian Soccer Players

1. What were the two soccer players arrested for and how much money are they being ordered to pay as a fine?

2. What punishment may the two soccer players be facing? Does the punishment fit the crime? Do you believe it was a crime?

3. What are some other examples of harsh treatment undertaken by the Iranian government? What are your thoughts and feeling on the Iranian government?

  3. number 1 they were arrested for public groping and were fined nearly 40000 dollars

number 2 up to 74 lashes and 2 months in prison also a ban from the sport i don't think they should get lashes and prison the fine was appropriate but there's 2 people expressing momentous joy at winning a game and ending a very long losing streak things just got a little wild i believe it should be no penalty except the fine because public groping is still unacceptable

number 3 another harsh treatment was the banning of another female soccer player for not wearing a headscarf even though it was banned by fifa i have no opinion of the Iranian government

3.A example of harsh treatment from Iranian government is a actress almost got lashed for not wearing a headscarf in a movie. My feelings and thoughts about the Iranian government is they need to stop being vicious and get a new government that treats people like humans.

  8. 1.) The two soccer players were being charged for "a violation of public chastity" because of what occurred on the field after they won. They also had to pay a $40,000 fine a piece.
2.) The soccer players may be facing prison for 2months and 74 lashes. I do think it was a crime because it was indecent.I also think they should be in trouble but prison and jail would be enough.
3.) I think a lot of stuff people do is not right especially in other countries. That's just how they live, but everyone lives different. They take it a little to serious though.

  9. 1 answer: they are being arrested for a violation of public chastity and they are being fined nearly $40,000 each.

2 answer: 74 public lashings with two months in prison and no, this is not a fitting punishment for the crime because they just acted indecent but this could also be a serious offense in their country.

3 answer: the government is going to make it a public thing where they broadcast it on state channels, i believe that this is doing to much just for an indecent act.

  11. 1. the two soccer players were arrested for disordly at a celebration. The ammount that they were being ordered to pay was 40,000.
    2. The punishment the two soccer players may be facing was lashes and prison. The punishment does not fit the crime because they really didnt do anything i think they might have just been too excited. No i dont believe it was a crime, they didnt harm anyone.
    3. Some other harsh examples of harsh treatment undertaken by the iraian government was how they banned a girl for not wearing proper dressing code she didnt have her headscarf. My thoughts and feelings about the irian government is that they need to loosing up a little because they took this situation a little too far.

    2. public slashing was maybe there punishment. Too me the punishment does not fit the crime. No it is not a crime because it happens in sports.
    3. Some examples are two months in prison and 74 public slashing. i think there government is crazy too allow cruel punishment like that.

  13. 1.The two soccer players were arrested for inappropriate celebratory behavior during a game broadcasted on national television. Each player who was involved was fined $40,000.

2.The punishment they are facing is up to two months in prison and 74 lashes on national television.I don't think that the punishment fits the crime at all.No I do not think that what they did was a crime.

3.Other examples of harsh treatment by the Iranian government are an actress was sentenced to be lashed because she appeared in a movie without a head scarf. Also a soccer player was forced to cut his hair on the pitch before playing in a match.I think that they are being way to harsh on something very small.

  14. (uno)..The two soccer players were arrested for public Displays of affection and are to be fined 40,000 dollars each. (dose).. The punishment the soccer players could be facing is 2 years in prison and public lashings up to 74. I don't think that public displays of affection should be public but it really shouldn't be judged as a crime but as a act of characteristics. (thrase).. I disagree with the acts, laws and judgmental ways of the Iranian government. Teenagers are forbidden any thought or act of affection, forced dress code and rearranged marriages and religion is a forced issue or sent to a death plenty as another example of harsh treatment that is undertaken in my point of view. _taylor cairelli
